Since the Cotton Monopoly Scheme expired in 2001, Federation has been managing MSP purchases in the state of Maharashtra as a Sub-Agent to CCI/NAFED.

As soon as a purchase is made, an online auction is used for every FP Bales transaction. However, from 2021–2022, sales of FP bales have not occurred because the market price of cotton is higher than the MSP.
